Lugar do Sol is a small condominium with just three other villa's, set behind electric remote controlled gates at the end of a traditional Portuguese cobbled road.
The villa has been designed and constructed by an award winning architect, who is known for his attention to detail, all materials used are of the highest standards. Local limestone has been used to clad the house and kambala wood used throughout.
The property has been designed around a central courtyard to take in the views across the bay and the fantastic sunsets. This layout also provides a relaxing, open feel whilst its two separate wings provide privacy.
Hall d'Entrée & WC
Entering the villa you are welcomed by a large entrance hall, which has direct access to the main living area and kitchen. The entrance also consists of a long glass sided hallway that separates the living areas and the ground floor sleeping wing and which provides direct access into the central courtyard garden.
Stairs lead to the master bedroom suite and above the stairs are large windows which bring natural daylight into the core of the building. Conveniently located for the lounge is a small wc fully tiled in limestone with built in basin and a toilet.
Salle
The main living area consists of an open plan lounge and dinning room. This room is decorated to a very high standard with modern Danish furniture. There is a very large sofa and separate chairs which will easily and comfortably accommodate six adults.
There are various glass coffee and side tables, lots of different types of lighting allow you to create a relaxed atmosphere and a large open fireplace.
There is a comprehensive entertainment system consisting of a large flat screen TV, DVD player and mini hi-fi system with USB port to allow you to connect your I-POD.
This room also has large doors opening onto the garden and a glass dining table which can seat up to six.
Cuisine
The Kitchen is fully equipped and all the counter tops and splash back are in high quality limestone with kambala wood kitchen units. All the modern conveniences are provided including built in stainless steel gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.
Suite Principale
The master bedroom suite occupies the upper floor of the villa and comprises of a master bedroom, luxury en-suite shower room and a large private sun terrace.
The master bedroom has a wenge double bed with matching bedside tables, large built-in wardrobes, leather chair and original Danish designer light fixtures to help you relax. There is also access to a private sun terrace directly from this bedroom.
The en-suite shower room consists of a large shower cubicle with oversized rainfall style shower head, toilet and limestone vanity unit with built in basin, a large vanity mirror and power points.
Chambre Principale RC
Located in a separate wing of the house, the Lower Master Bedroom has large doors that open directly onto the gardens. A large family bathroom is located next door which is shared with the third bedroom.
This bedroom is simply decorated to provide a very light and airy feel. Top quality fittings have been used, which comprise of a super-king sized bed with matching white hi-gloss bedside cabinets. Large solid wood built-in wardrobes and a leather chair.
Salle de Bain Familiale
As with all the bathroom and WC's in the villa, this family bathroom is equipped with high quality fixtures. There is a bath with over head shower, toilet, bidet and limestone vanity unit with built in sink. Once again there is a very large vanity mirror and power points.
Chambre
Located in the sleeping wing there is a third bedroom, that consists of bunk beds, large enough to sleep both children and adults and a small wardrobe. This bedroom is conveniently located next to the family bathroom.
Cour/Jardin
The garden consists of three separate courtyard areas. The main central courtyard can be accessed from nearly every ground floor room, adjoining this courtyard is a seating area consisting of a large rattan table and rattan club chairs to seat up to 8 people.
Tucked away on the other side of the property is another quiet courtyard area, with a small table and chairs. Ideal to just unwind and read a book.
Also within this area is a built in barbeque ideal for outdoor entertaining.
Terrasse
Access to the private sun terrace is from the upper master bedroom. This large terrace has excellent views over the farms, woods and Atlantic Ocean. The views of the sunset over the ocean from the terrace are quite simply amazing. There are also two sun loungers to unwind on.
Aires Communes
The four villa's are set in grounds of 2000m² and back onto the protected land of the Arrábida National Park and also the Rio Prata. The grounds are surrounded by rolling hills, small farms, pine forests and other small developments.
